Braids will never go out of style and are super versatile. You can wrap them around your head for a bohemian vibe, show off your long locks with a fishtail braid, or even rock a bubble braid, which is a new and unique twist on a classic look. If you love flowers and are utilizing a lot of them in your décor, you can even tuck some tiny flowers into your hair to decorate your braid.

Buns are always an excellent choice when getting married in a hot climate – they keep your hair off your back and help contain any potential frizz. If your hair is too short to go into a topknot, you can always do a French twist bun instead, which is both sleek and easy to maintain in the heat. Or you can opt for a more elegant bun, like a classic chignon. The ever-popular side bun is always a flattering choice, and adds a 1930s vibe to your wedding day glam.

If you want your hair up but don’t love buns, there are tons of stunning ponytails that you can rock, whether they’re fluffed up and curly or sleek and straight. Ponytails are super flattering if you’re wearing long dangly earrings or if your wedding dress has a plunging neckline or open back.

If you’re getting married in the Caribbean and wearing your hair down, we suggest working with your natural texture. If your hair is naturally curly and you spend hours straightening it, the heat might make it curl back up again. The same goes if you have naturally straight hair and curl it; the heat will weigh it down and the curls will quickly fall. So embrace your natural texture, whether it’s straight, wavy or curly! Add in a flower crown or decorative hair clips, and you’re all set to go.
