Keeping on theme for all of your pre-destination wedding events can be tough, but there’s never been a better excuse to purchase all of that on-trend tropical décor. We love monstera leaf invitations, cute gold pineapple balloons, bright and bold centerpieces, and oversized floral crowns. Why not bring the tropical vibes to your engagement party, bachelorette party, or bridal shower to show your family and friends what they’re in for!
Finding a venue to suit such a specific themed event can be tricky. Lucky for us, there’s Sixty Les! Sixty Les is a boutique hotel located in the Lower East side of Manhattan, New York City. Sixty Les has an incredible rooftop bar called Tiki Tabu, which seats 150 people and is little piece of paradise found amongst the hustle and bustle of New York City. This space has both an indoor and outdoor patio with picnic benches, comfy booth seating, and pastel colored bar stools.
We’re so in love with the décor at Tiki Tabu, which will make you feel like you’re already on vacation. Fish nets are hung on the ceiling, creating a hammock for starfish and seashells to float above you. Seafoam green and blue glass lanterns, coconuts, surf boards, and drinks served in copper pineapple glasses decorate your surroundings. Palm tree upholstery is shown off on the bench seating, and tons of lush plants and greenery create a beachy feel as you sip on Mai Tai’s and Pina Colada’s.
Tiki Tabu features a weekly guest bartender program so that the cocktail selection is always fresh and flavourful, as well as a DJ each night that will be sure to keep the party going until last call. We’re obsessed with Tiki Tabu’s sophisticated spin on traditional Tiki culture, and know that this prime location would be perfect for your pre-wedding events!
