About Riley and Cooper
Occupations: Cooper is a car salesman. Riley is a woodworker.
How they met: We first met through mutual friends at the beach one summer. What first attracted Riley to Cooper: He had such handsome blue eyes and had the same passion for travel that I did.
What first attracted Cooper to Riley: Her love of traveling, her enthusiasm for learning, and her beautiful long dark wavy hair.
Engagement story: While we were touring Casa Loma in Toronto in the stunning stain glass Conservatory by the fountain he got down on one knee and proposed. I was so happy I couldn’t stop bouncing around. After that he surprised me with a limo that picked us up for a scenic drive around Toronto on our way to see the critically acclaimed musical “Once”. We finished the evening with an elegant steak dinner and champagne downtown.
The Wedding Day
Wedding Date: November 6th, 2015
Number of guests: 58
Riley’s most memorable moment: Seeing him tear up as I stepped onto the beach and began my walk down the aisle.
Cooper’s most memorable moment: Sitting at the head table with my new wife, watching friends and family laugh, taking in the whole experience of the day
Advice to others: Don’t fret about the little details. Work with good people and it will all come together in the end.
Wedding Song: Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran
Favourite Wedding Detail: The handmade vine wrapped huppa. Coming down to the beach the morning of our wedding, we watched as wooden poles and vines were chopped and put into place. So amazing.
Signature Drink: Sea Breeze. It was perfect timing that the waiters served when we were pronounced man and wife.
Most unexpected moment: When one of our guests hand wrapped a gift for us, using natural foliage and flowers found on the resort grounds, for our wedding. Honeymoon: We enjoyed staying an extra week at the Barceló as well as different romantic outings such as to the beautiful restaurant Le Kliff, and tours such as Rhythms of the Night.
