When Rebecca and Dennis laid eyes on the Sunset Da Monalisa in Cabo San Lucas, they instantly knew that this was the venue where they would promise to love each other forever. Rebecca and Dennis are a kind, fun, and loving couple who you just want to spend time with. This was made apparent when their guest count grew to a point where they had to buyout the wedding venue, which wasn’t the original plan. Rebecca and Dennis are so well loved by their family and friends, that everyone wanted to attend their special day and made it a priority to be there.
Rebecca and Dennis were one of the most laid-back couples that we have worked with and were easily able to roll with the punches that come with planning a wedding. At the same time, the couple had a specific vision for the wedding and knew what they wanted, which made them a dream to work with. Let’s take a look at the details from this stunning alternative affair.
On the morning of the wedding, Rebecca and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done at the nearby RIU Los Cabos. Soft glam makeup and loose waves tied together Rebecca’s romantic look, and a delicate rose gold headband added the perfect detail to the bridal attire. Rebecca chose a sequin beaded mermaid wedding dress with spaghetti straps, a low v-back, and classic nude stilettos. The bride carried an oversized bouquet made with white and dark burgundy florals and lush greenery, tied together with a long white ribbon.
Dennis showed his style with a light grey three-piece suit with a subtle checkered pattern, black loafers, and a burgundy tie to match the wedding colors. He looked absolutely dapper as he arrived to the Sunset Da Monalisa to meet Rebecca for their first look before the ceremony.
The first look was emotional. Both Rebecca and Dennis arrived separately at the venue and took their places to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. As Dennis turned to see Rebecca, they both had tears in their eyes and were so excited to finally start their journey together as a married couple.
The ceremony took place on the Terraza Oriente, which has a beautiful view of the Arch at Land’s End and is carved into a cliff overlooking the ocean. This is really one of the most romantic places that we could imagine getting married. The ceremony décor was a perfect mix of modern and rustic. Two floral arrangements placed on white pedestals flanked the altar creating a simple and elegant backdrop for the ceremony. The burgundy, white, and greenery in the floral arrangements popped against the blue of the ocean, creating a stunning and romantic contrast.
The reception took place on the Grand Panorama. The tables were adorned with centerpieces made of assorted cylinders with a mix of pillar and floating candles, with burgundy and white florals in the center. Gold chivari chairs complimented the frosted gold charger plates and the mix of gold and clear votive candles. Gold rimmed rocks glasses sat at each place setting accompanied by a small white starfish tied with each guest’s name as their place card.
The wedding cake was a simple three-tier with white icing, decorated with greenery, white florals and a custom bride & groom cake topper. The cake topper was a replica of Rebecca and Dennis’s real life, with a police badge and handcuffs for Rebecca and Dennis with fast food and donuts.
A traditional garter toss and bouquet toss took place during the after party to get the evening started. It’s clear that everyone had an incredible time celebrating Rebecca and Dennis since the dancefloor was packed all night long!
Congratulations Rebecca & Dennis!
