There are so many resorts with gorgeous pools, but the main pool at Amanyara is so perfect we just had to share. The pool, located at the centre of the property, is made of black Indonesian lava rock which not only looks exquisite but also acts as a natural regulator for the water so that it is always a comfortable temperature. It is also the perfect solution for those who are caught in the eternal struggle of pool versus beach, as you can still enjoy the expansive views of the ocean right from the comfort of your poolside lounger.

With some luck, you may even catch a glimpse of the migrating humpback whales just off the coast, whose journey can be seen from the pool between February and April! We are certainly dreaming about dipping our toes in right now, how about you?
