We recently came across a wedding dress designer called Dreamers & Lovers Bridal, and we are obsessed! Their designs are absolutely perfect for a beach wedding, and they are so budget-friendly that you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank for your wedding dress. They also hand-make their bespoke dresses in their very own creative studio in California. Their whole philosophy is that the dresses they make are “for the laid back bride”, mixing personal comfort with individual style, so if you love the thought of being a Bohemian bride, in lots of lace, rocking a simple and romantic design, this might just be the place you find the wedding dress of your dreams. Here are a few of our favourites – and we think you might agree!
The Lisa Backless Lace Gown is one of our favourites, combining long sleeves with a plunging v-shape back, and light silk that won’t be too heavy in the Caribbean sun.
The Lizzy Off-Shoulder Lace Dress accentuates your shoulders and décolletage, has an elegant cathedral length train, but will still be comfortable with stretch-lace and sewn-in molded bra cups, so you won’t have to worry about pulling the dress up all night. Great for getting married AND partying in!
The Natalie Silk + Lace Gown is great for brides who want a bit of lace, but not the entire dress to be covered in it. The capped sleeves and high lace neck contrast beautifully with the flowing skirt and dramatic slit.
We can’t think of a better dress for a rehearsal dinner or welcome party than the Fleuretta Lace Dress, with its playful vintage silhouette with the bell sleeves and floral appliqués.
For the fashion-forward bride who wants to show a bit of mid-riff, separate skirts and tops are a huge trend in wedding dresses, featured in the Camelia 2-Piece Silk Dress, which has a gorgeous crepe de chine panel on the skirt, deep-v backline, and ¾ fluttering sleeves.
Another great two piece option (which doesn’t look like a two piece at all!) is the Bianca Backless 2-Piece Dress. This gorgeous number is actually a strechy lace bdy suit paired with a long light-weight chiffon skirt, which will help keep you nice and comfortable no matter how hot your destination might be!
If you don’t have a chance to get down to the Golden State, you should definitely check out their website – it has testimonials and a great photo album of real weddings, not to mention a blog, video of their studio and showroom, and photos of their dress (and veil) collections. To top it all off, they also have a special “Loan Me” program, where you can pick two dresses to have shipped (worldwide!) for you to try on in the comfort of your own home. Sounds pretty perfect, right?!
