I travel often for work, but funny enough, I hardly ever vacation. So when it came time to take a few steps away from life and slow down, unplug (it is possible!) and enjoy a relaxing vacation, we chose Antigua. I had the pleasure of staying at the famous Rock Cottage at Blue Waters Resort… a special place, indeed.

Nestled into a dramatic rock outcrop overlooking the turquoise blue water, the cottage is actually a few buildings that together make up a wonderful, private spot for anyone seeking a unique holiday. Jump off your jetty and swim to your own private beach. Eat breakfast with 3 views of the ocean. Dip in your private plunge pool when the sun gets too hot. Brush your teeth looking at the sea. Sleep listening to the waves crashing beneath you. Get married with your nearest and dearest in the privacy of your own villa…

You get the bonus of being part of a great hotel, but also the luxury of your own villa. Staffed by a caring team, Alrick is a touch of class looking after every detail. So caring, he helped arrange a private dinner for us one night on our jetty. The night was perfect and I’ll have to say that this dining experience (literally on the ocean) was both memorable and dramatic.
