As of December 1st, 2012, the Riu Palace Mexico has reopened its doors after a complete renovation! Situated in Playa del Carmen, just 2 kilometers from the famous 5th avenue shopping the hotel will retain its colonial building but has been updated with modern features inside with the new look that Riu is rolling out into all its newly renovated hotels.
The hotel’s 434 rooms have been modernized with new furniture and fabrics giving the hotel a fresh new look. It’s predominantly white, giving the rooms a bright clean feel! The bathrooms really are the showpiece of the renovation – each room features a hydro massage bath and a separate shower as well as a double sink. To top it off, all rooms enjoy complimentary wireless internet and 24 hour room service!
As a part of the all new Riu All Inclusive Program, Riu Palace Mexico has opened “Lounge 24”, which offers snacks and drinks 24 hours a day, and “Capuchino Cafe” which offers an extensive menu of different coffees and pastries from around the world.
The hotel features a newly renovated Gym & Renova Spa, 5 bars, 4 fresh water pools as well as a Children’s Club and Pool. The culinary department has been reinvented with new flavours and styles and the hotels main buffet and 5 a la carte restaurants – 3 of which are new to Riu Palace Mexico! “La Bodega” features Mexican flavours, “La Dolce Vita” brings Italian to Mexico and “Guacamole”, the hotels new Steak Restaurant.
