How they met:  They both went to Sir Wilfrid Laurier University, and rekindled 5 years after they graduated when they both moved from Toronto to Vancouver!

What attracted him to her: Her confidence, kindness, big heart and her big blue eyes

What attracted her to him:  His charm, smarts and good looks. He’s the ying to her yang!

What was the best advice you received as a bride/groom?  Always support one another through the good times and the bad, love unconditionally, keep the spark alive, pick your battles (but remember, happy wife= happy life).

Engagement story:  We got engaged while living in Kelowna, BC. Steve prepared Nicole’s favourite night; a meal of charcuterie, local wine and chocolate, and then got down on one knee to pop the question surrounded by red roses and our pup Leo.

Advice to others: Enjoy every moment of the day, relax (Your Luxe wedding planer has it all under control) and cherish every moment you have with all of your loved ones together, making memories to last a lifetime!

Favourite wedding detail:  we loved all of our personalized signs from Bells & Whistles Cabo. We also loved our personalized cigar bar, signature cocktails, and the comfort of our beach lounge area

Most unexpected moment:  Our guests were so surprised and blown away by the Mariachi band!

Most romantic moment:  we really can’t just pick one moment!

Reception location:  Zaffiro Beach, the same that we used for our ceremony!

Why did you choose this location for your wedding?  We wanted to get married with our toes in the sand, under the Mexican sun!

Bride’s shoes:  Le Chateau (but fixed to perfection by my dad so that they looked exactly how I envisioned)

Is there anything else that helps tell the story of the day? It was magical and perfect. The decor, weather, resort and staff were better than we imagined. Our guests were full of love, support and joy. Also, the mariachi band, signature cocktails, and beach location were fan favourites!

Tell us about your experience working with LUXE:  It was amazing to work with Emily and Lizzie. Together, they helped create the wedding of our dreams.
