Some trips stay with you long after you’ve returned home, and our recent visit to St. Lucia was one of them.
We travelled to the island to attend the Global Piton Awards 2026, but what made the experience memorable wasn’t just the awards evening itself. It was the opportunity to spend several days exploring the destination, connecting with local partners, and experiencing firsthand what makes St. Lucia such a special place for travellers.
Discovering St. Lucia

Over the course of the trip, we had the chance to experience the island from different perspectives.
We explored both by road and by water, taking in the dramatic coastline, lush landscapes, and the natural beauty that St. Lucia is known for. One of the highlights was bamboo rafting, a peaceful way to slow down and appreciate the scenery from a completely different vantage point.

One of the most meaningful moments came during a visit to a local school, where we were able to deliver supplies and spend time with students and staff. It was a reminder that travel is about more than beautiful places. It’s also about people, community, and the connections we make along the way.

Touring St. Lucia’s Resorts and Event Venues
As part of the program, we also visited several of the island’s resorts and event venues.
From the sophisticated adults-only atmosphere at Secrets St. Lucia to the versatility of Royalton St. Lucia and the breathtaking setting of Anse Mamin Beach, each property offered something completely different.

These site visits are always valuable because they allow us to experience destinations beyond brochures and websites. Seeing the spaces firsthand helps us better match our clients with the resorts, venues, and experiences that best fit their travel style, celebration, or event.
The Global Piton Awards 2026
The week culminated with the Global Piton Awards, held directly on the beach under the St. Lucian evening sky.
From the candlelit tables set in the sand to the local touches woven throughout the evening, every detail reflected the destination itself. The atmosphere felt elegant without losing the warmth and authenticity that makes St. Lucia so welcoming.
As the evening unfolded, cultural performances, music, and entertainment transformed the event into a true celebration of the island and the people who help showcase it to travellers from around the world.
An Honour We’re Grateful For
During the awards ceremony, we were honoured to be recognized as one of St. Lucia’s top-producing travel agencies.
This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the trust our clients place in us when planning their vacations, destination weddings, honeymoons, and milestone celebrations.
St. Lucia continues to be one of our favourite destinations to recommend—not only because of its stunning scenery, but because of the consistently exceptional experiences it delivers.

Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to the St. Lucia Tourism Authority, our resort partners, and everyone who welcomed us throughout the week.
The itinerary offered an incredible balance of destination exploration, community connection, property visits, and celebration. It provided a deeper understanding of the island and reinforced why St. Lucia continues to be one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after destinations.
Final Thoughts
The best destinations are about more than beautiful views.
They’re about the people who welcome you, the culture that shapes the experience, and the moments that stay with you long after you’ve left.
For us, this trip was a reminder of exactly that and we’re grateful to have been part of it.
