Lisa and Kent’s Destination Wedding in the Riviera Maya, Mexico

Lisa and Kent are married! Congratulations you two on your recent nuptials.

About the Couple
Occupations:
Addictions Counselor and Power Engineer
How they met:
Through mutual friends in 2009
What attracted Kent to Lisa:
The night I first met her, it felt like we had been friends for a long time already. She was very easy to talk to, it made it easier to get comfortable around her being that I’m normally a very shy person. I would say what really set it in stone was when she texted me for the first time after she had left to go back to school. The pure feeling of happiness that I got from that made me realize that I wanted to spend a long time at her side. Oh and I have a thing for cute gingers haha!
What attracted Lisa to Kent:
His shyness and sweet personality (and of course his good looks).
Engagement story (as told by Lisa):
We were vacationing in Mexico with our friends that introduced us a few years prior. Kent popped the question one hour after we landed in Mexico, in front of the safe in our room. Kent’s proposal was like his shy personality, quiet, short and sweet. He held up a ring and just said “Marry me”.

The Wedding Day
Wedding date: April 20, 2013
Number of Guests: 17
Wedding Colors: Ocean Blue and purple
Lisa’s most memorable moment: Saying my vows, the overwhelming feeling of love was incredible.
Kent’s most memorable moment: The vows for me were huge as well, but I would have to say, seeing her walking towards me in her parents arms was my most memorable moment. It took everything in me not to break down into tears.
Their advice to others: Relax and enjoy everyone moment, it all happens so fast, embrace it. Remember to relax and that no matter what little mishap may happen on your wedding day, the most important thing is you are marrying the person of your dreams!
Favourite wedding detail: The décor and the beautiful ocean view for our ceremony.
Most unexpected moment: Lisa’s fathers speech during the reception was heartfelt but bone chilling, I never want to disappoint that man! haha
Most romantic moment: This for me (Kent) would have to be the vows. Every word came straight from the heart, and were words of pure love and devotion.
Honeymoon: We will be traveling to Italy to visit Venice and Rome.
The day in three words: Filled with love
