How they met: We met in B.C for the first time in 2008 when I was visiting his sister on a snowboarding trip in Whistler.
What attracted Jason to Leslie: Her sense of humor
What attracted Leslie to Jason: His cooking
What was the best advice you received as a couple? Always prioritize the fun and adventure, if you do, you’ll constantly be growing and falling in love with each other over and over again.
Their engagement story: Every year, we go to Whistler, BC. Either in the winter to snowboard or the summer to enjoy the beautiful views. In 2015, we decided to go to Whistler in the summer to do a hike up on the mountain with his sister and brother in law. This hike was quite a long one, and about two and a half hours in, we all decided we would take a lunch break on a flatter part of the mountain with a beautiful view. Found one, sat down and had some lunch. In the distance, there was a huge rock that we wanted to take pictures on. When it was our turn to take a couple’s picture on the rock, I could feel him holding me from behind and shaking, as soon as the photo was taken by his sister and brother in law, he turned me around and proposed.

Is there anything else that helps tell the story of the day? The day was absolutely a dream come true! No rain clouds in the sky, weather was amazing, everything went so smoothly and this was because of our wedding planner, Emily. Not one worry at all! We basically danced the whole night on our amazing light up dancefloor, 6 hrs of dancing! And to top it off, there were fireworks over the ocean that we did not have planned for!
Tell us about your experience working with LUXE: Christy Beaton, our wedding travel agent helped us find a resort that fit into our budget and she made sure we were happy with all of the accommodations. Emily Scott, our wedding planner, was amazing! So organized, kept in touch every week. Tuned into what our wants were and worked with us on our budget. She made the whole wedding planning process stress free. It was a different kind of stress when planning a destination wedding, but Emily was there the whole entire time! We brought her into Mexico to help us the day of, and that was the best decision ever!! She did everything for us! We had absolutely no worries at all! She managed the day flawlessly and made our vision come to life!! We loved working with LUXE!
