About Jessica and Chase
Occupations: Graphic Designers (both)
How they met: At work. We quickly became friends and would spend hours just talking both in and out of the office. Eventually our connection couldn’t be denied and we started dating.
What attracted Chase to Jessica: Her sarcastic sense of humour and wit.
What attracted Jessica to Chase: His sense of humour and his eyes.
What was the best advice you received as a bride/groom? “Just go with the flow”
Their engagement story: After years of dating, we decided to purchase a condo together. We both really already knew we would get married, so it wasn’t necessarily a surprise. But I decided to propose in the privacy and comfort of our apartment, immediately after we signed the papers for our new condo, building on the emotion of the moment.
The Wedding Day
Wedding date: December 3, 2016
Number of guests: 39
Wedding colours: Purple and white
Jessica’s most memorable moment: Seeing him for the first time, at the reveal photoshoot
Chase’s most memorable moment: Watching her walk down to the aisle to be mine forever!
Their advice to others: Don’t let it all rush by. Try to take it all in, though that’s actually impossible. It only happens once in your life. Make it yours and don’t cater to other people’s expectations. Also, let others do their job and try not to control everything. It shouldn’t be a stressful time.
Favourite wedding detail: Our recession song – Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler. Also the cake toppers, which included our two cats!
Most unexpected moment: The MC jumping on the microphone to sing “This is how we do it” when the DJs computer crashed during the song. Quick thinking and seamless performance that saved the dance!

The day in three words: Fun, Beautiful, Unforgettable

Is there anything else that helps tell the story of the day? It was so relaxed and well organized, we were still sipping margaritas on the beach just a couple hours before the sunset ceremony. There was nothing to worry about and nothing to stress over (except 30 seconds of rain before dinner, but it passed quickly), we just enjoyed every moment!
