Jamie and Trevor celebrated their magical day at the newly renovated Riu Vallarta in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, offering plenty of on-site excitement for all their guests. The couple exchanged vows under a rose covered arch before kicking off their beachfront reception surrounded by breathtaking turquoise waters and of course, friends and family. Occupations: Jamie works at Suncor Energy as a Visualization Analyst and Trevor is a self-employed Grain Farmer.

How You Met: They met at a rave called ”Chasing Summers” in Calgary, Alberta.

Engagement story: Trevor tapped Jamie on the arm and asked if she wanted to go on his shoulders to get a better view of the performers. She said yes, and they ended up hanging out for the two-day festival… and the rest of their lives!

Her most memorable moment: Their vows.  

His most memorable moment: All the fun they had on the dance floor.

Advice to couples: Be authentic and give your partner the freedom to be authentic, as well.

Favourite wedding detail: Ending their special day watching a beautiful sunset.

Signature drink: Jam Star and Captain Trev.

Most unexpected moment: Running into the ocean at the end of the day in their wedding outfits!

Honeymoon destination: Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Flowers: Ivory roses were used in both the bride’s bouquet and the flower arch where the couple exchanged their vows.

The Fun Stuff

Astrological signs: Jamie is a Libra and Trevor is a Taurus.

Type of rings: Jamie chose to have a custom ring made. The diamond was marquise shaped and intended to represent the barley that Trevor produces at his farm. When Jamie and Trevor first started dating, Jamie would see navette-shaped objects around the house, and now she has a shiny version of it on her finger!

Wedding colors: Navy, gold, and white.
