The Secrets Resort & Spa family is hard at work putting the finishing touches on their latest property – Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya. The resort is set to open on November 1, 2015 but we just couldn’t wait until then to share this stunning new property with you!

The latest Secrets resort is located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, in the aptly named beachfront area of Akumal. Akumal means “Place of Turtles” in the ancient Mayan language, so you can only imagine what type of underwater world is to be discovered here. The warm Caribbean waters just off of the coast are home to a rich marine biodiversity, making it an ideal dive site for people of all experience levels.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya is an adults-only property with over 400 luxury guest rooms, each with their own private terrace or balcony. The resort offers a wide variety of gourmet dining experiences, ranging from fresh seafood to pan-Asian and just about everything in between. They also have six exceptional bars, so whether you’re looking for a place to swim up, wind down or enjoy a wild night out, there are plenty of you to choose from!
