How they met:  A night out in Toronto at a busy restaurant in Chinatown. There was an immediate attraction to each other
What attracted Elliott to Hilary: Her striking beauty and smile
What attracted Hilary to Elliott: His kindness to others and cheeky smile
What was the best advice you received as a couple?
Enjoy the planning process and soak-in every minute of the wedding day. The wedding is about your love, not all the fluff, and remember this is supposed to be FUN!
Engagement story: In September 2012, on a private safari in Namibia, Elliott proposed to Hilary at sunset overlooking giraffes and zebras drinking from a watering hole. He then surprised her with a few nights in London and Paris!

Elliott’s most memorable moment: Surprising my wife, the biggest animal lover I know, with a white horse on the beach for photos. Also, jumping into the swimming pool with most of our guests at the end of the night after an amazing and elegant dinner reception.
Hilary and Elliott’s advice to others:
Enjoy every minute of the wedding day. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Favourite wedding detail:
Hand poured candle wax inside seashells used for candle lit dinner.
Most unexpected moment:
Half the wedding guests jumping into the swimming pool. Clothing optional.
Most romantic moment:
Having the best man deliver a custom recorded video on the iPad that was pre-recorded for Hilary on her wedding day while she was getting ready with her bridesmaids . The groom sang “You Are So Beautiful,” and played acoustic guitar.
Did you include any traditions in your wedding?
Yes, Elliott’s mother singing a solo during the ceremony – the same song she sung at her daughter’s.
Honeymoon:
One week in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, spent between Punto de Vista Luxury Villa and Arenas Del Mar hotel.

Why did you choose this location for your wedding? Costa Rica was on our bucket list of places to vacation and we thought having our wedding on the beach and near the rainforest would be incredible.
