Instead of ‘something blue’, in honour of St. Patrick’s Day we’ve put together a wedding inspiration board for you, all about SOMETHING GREEN! Not only is it fitting for any wedding in and around the holiday, or for couples wanting to honour their Irish heritages, but greenery is also very on trend for weddings at any time of the year.
From flowing bouquets with hanging ivy and palm leaves, succulent boutonnieres, towering tree-like centrepieces, and sprigs of greenery on the wedding cake, there are tons of ways to add natural greens to your florals. For a statement piece, have a stunning ceremony arch reminiscent of a woodland forest, or a large greenery based photo wall. Add green chair covers or chair bows to your seating, beautiful textured table runners and napkins in your favourite shade, or charger plates to the tables for a pop of colour at the reception. When it comes to clothing, adding a touch of vibrant green to your wedding shoes, garter, or even the tulle under your dress can be a cute and eclectic way to add to the green theme. Having the bridesmaids in shades of green from a light mint to a vibrant emerald, or the groom and groomsmen in olive green tuxes – which are all the rage on the red carpet this season – are a great way to showcase your favourite colour. You can even incorporate green into your wedding invitations, dinner menus, seating charts, and place cards. he great thing about green is that it varies so much as well, ranging from chartreuse, to forest, kelly to jade, olive to lime, hunter to teal, turquoise to neon, and of course we can’t forget Shamrock Green on this fantastic holiday!
