Spring has arrived, and now that we can confidently say this, it is time to look forward to the upcoming spring weddings that will be featuring the most desirable spring pastels. Pastel colours are often thought of for baby showers and bridal showers but they are making a huge comeback in the world of weddings.

Cream is the new white, with a yellowish undertone that adds a softness and warmth. This hue is perfect for floral and invitations, and we also love the look of a cream coloured jacket and statement coloured pants. Why not mix cream with another colour like blush to not only give your wedding a garden chic feel.

Lilac and mint are a perfect colour combination for floral arrangements, cake décor, bridesmaid dresses – really all aspects of the wedding! Lilacs and greenery will make for the most unique floral arrangements. Add mint to your invitations, table setting or mint leaves to your cake. These two pastel colours will complement each other perfectly to create a beautiful backdrop for your big day.  

Another classic colour combination perfect for weddings is purple and pink, but not the vibrant shades that adorned our rooms as kids. No, we are talking about the beautiful combination of mauve and blush. These colours will look stunning in a ceremony arbour filled with roses and greenery.  Another way to bring both of these shades into your décor is with your reception table settings by using  mauve charger plates and blush pink wine glasses. Remember, there are no rules to pastel colours. Our advice for choosing the perfect pastel, choose your favourite wedding colour and then lighten it to its pastel shade.
