Boho weddings have been a long standing trend over the past few years, and it doesn’t seem like this relaxed wedding vibe is going anywhere soon. We’re particularly love-struck by this Boho Rock n’ Roll wedding that recently took place at the Nizuc Resort & Spa in Cancun. The Bride & Groom noted that their inspiration for the entire event was “David Bowie at the Beach”. We can’t think of a cooler couple to rock a wedding theme that highlights both 70’s and modern Boho décor elements.
It’s fitting that the Bride chose a dress called “The Zeppelin” by Rue de Seine. This dress has a keyhole back, illusion top & sheer bottom skirt, bold floral lace pattern, and bell sleeves. The Bride carried a bouquet made with mostly Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and pops of florals in burgundy and bright yellow.
We love that the Bride & Groom chose to do something slightly off beat with a gold geometric shaped ceremony arch. The arch also features minimal florals in burgundy and yellows, accompanied by ample greenery. Our favourite nod to Rock n’ Roll is the gold retro microphone stand that the Bride & Groom used during their ceremony.
At the reception the couple chose rectangular wooden farm tables, natural wood cross back chairs with white cushions, blue tinted textured goblet glasses, gold geometric terrarium centerpieces with florals inside, and mix & match charger plates. All of these décor elements provided the perfect amount of texture and dimension, creating an absolutely breathtaking reception space!
The seating chart for the reception also emulated extreme relaxed beach vibes. We love the cream colored hanging Macrame seating chart with a simple burgundy and peach Rose floral arrangement, and gold calligraphy on white cardstock.
Besides the wedding day, there were other events that hit the wedding theme right on the nose. The wedding couple kicked off the festivities with a rehearsal dinner at the Terra Nostra Deck. The décor at this event was very industrial chic with copper chairs, white linens, twinkling string lights, and simple candle centerpieces. The laid back environment at the Nizuc Resort & Spa really stole our hearts, and if you’re looking for a venue for the perfect Boho wedding, this is definitely it.
