Another successful Bridal Market wrapped up this week in New York! The show ran from October 12-15 and was full of surprises. Top bridal designers showcased their Fall 2013 collections where we saw a number of reoccurring trends and themes. We have picked our favourite dresses for destination weddings and outlined the top trends for fall 2013 for all you brides who are starting to prep for your shopping trips!

Illusion Necklines – the silhouette has the feel and look of a strapless gown, but provides brides with a bit more coverage. Best part about the illusion neckline, it will help keep your dress in place and you party the night away in the tropics! Tea-length gown from Amsale Fall 2013 collection is a perfect gown to keep you cool and elegant for  a beach ceremony.

An ultra-feminine gown from Monique Lhuillier, Fall 2013 has a light flowing feeling. With the floral decal on the bodice of the dress, we think this dress would be stunning on any bride in a tropical garden setting.

Christos Fall 2013 lightweight and airy gowns give brides coverage with a sheet illusion neckline and lace appliqué. The designs are so delicate that the looking painted on.

Lace Overlays – the Fall 2013 collection is proof that the lace trend is not slowing down. Kate Middleton & Alexander McQueen gave lace a huge comeback in 2011. The season, designers have featured lace overtop of other fabrics, giving each gown dimension. Claire Pettibone’s elegant, delicate look is truly enchanting perfect for modern destination wedding brides looking for a fresh romantic design.

Hints Of Color – For Fall 2013, designers took a fresh approach to colour with a more subtle hint, rather than the bold colours we have seen in previous seasons. Claire Pettibone incorporated blush pink, olive green and baby blue into many of her gowns for Fall 2013, here is one of our favourites!
