About Marcail and Chad
Occupations: Marcail – Software Consultant; Chad – Manufacturing
How they met: Through Chad’s sister. We met for the first time in the Pittsburgh airport traveling to see WVU/LSU Football Game. Marcail met Chad’s entire family that weekend.
What attracted Chad to Marcail: Personality, looks, hair, generosity, closeness to her family, zest for life, love of travel, caring treatment of others
What attracted Marcail to Chad: Dashing good looks, sense of humor, relaxed and calm vibe (he calms me down for sure!), love of travel, how intelligent he is, how he loves his family and son so much
What was the best advice you received as a bride/groom? Tell each other “I Love You” several times a day
Engagement story: We got engaged on the beach at sunrise on the beach in Seward, Alaska at Marcail’s family beach house. Marcail unknowingly helped transport the engagement ring from WV to Alaska as we traveled to Anchorage, Alaska for Thanksgiving. Chad had the ring zipped up in his winter jacket the entire time! Marcail helped carry the jacket during the trip and had no idea the beautiful engagement ring was inside.

The Wedding Day
Wedding date: 8/10/13
Number of guests: 50
Wedding colours: turquoise, fuchsia, black and white
Marcail’s most memorable moment: Walking down the sand seeing Chad standing at the alter. It made me tear up! He was beaming and I had to resist running in the sand into his arms. I also loved once I got to the alter, Chad tried to kiss me and I turned and had him kiss my cheek after laughing saying you can’t kiss me yet!
Chad’s most memorable moment: Seeing Marcail walking across the beach with her Dad and me trying to kiss her at the start of the ceremony and her not letting me
Their advice to others: Ensure you have alone time before, during and after the wedding. The events leading up to the wedding day can be crazy so give yourselves time to take a break, breath and snuggle
Favourite wedding detail: Sea of Cortez in the background at the ceremony
Most unexpected moment: Marcail’s Dad’s (Dale) speech about Amazonian women
Most romantic moment: Chad dipping Marcail during the wedding kiss

The day in three words: Perfect, amazing, unforgettable (we can’t wait to renew our vows to do it all over again )

Tell us about your experience working with LUXE Destination Weddings: It was a complete joy to work with the LUXE staff. Amanda was great at coordinating all reservations and dealing with quirky guests. Antoinette was a GOD SEND! We could NOT have done it without her. She was so calm and organized but also so much fun and full of life. Without her I’m pretty sure the guys would have stayed in the pool all day and would have missed the entire wedding!
