Are You a True Destination Bride?

Here are some tips on the “type of person” a destination bride often is… If these statements describe you, then start searching for your beach gown ASAP!

- Your idea of the “perfect” wedding can be described as barefoot on the beach followed by a causal tiki-torched lined luau BBQ, or perhaps a dramatic cliff side garden ceremony with dinner on an outdoor terrace under the stars.

- You are happy know that only your near and dear friends and family will be in attendance. The large wedding is what you are trying to avoid.

- Your guests live all over the country or the world – they have to travel anyways to come to your wedding… so why not make it somewhere exotic.

- You are okay and grounded with the reality that some of your close people might not be able to make it to the wedding… And you’re not going to end friendships over it either.

- The fact that you’ve potentially never seen your wedding venue doesn’t scare you – leaving some of it to chance works with your personality!

- You’re not “nitpicky” about details – if your favourite champagne is not available at your reception, another brand will do. You know that it’s still going to be full of personal touches, but you aren’t going to lose sleep over small particulars.

- Control is something you’re willing to sacrifice a bit – heck, you’re thousands of miles from home.

- At the end of the day, you want to have an amazing party, have minimal stress and really enjoy your wedding day – something that many brides forget to do.
