What was the best advice you received as a couple?  Take a moment at your wedding reception together, away from everyone, to take in the special moment and to see how your loved ones encourage, support and value your love to one another.
Engagement story:  It was our 10 year anniversary and we flew to New York City. It was early morning before sunrise and after a romantic intimate moment Matthew decided to use the restroom. Being cheeky and fun, Amanda thought it would be the perfect opportunity to lay her gift and card to him on the pillow (an imported turquoise ring from Turkey that he had been seeking for some time). In the meantime she thought it would be fun to hide in the closet to “scare” Matthew. As he came out of the rest room she “scared him” and he stated, “Hey what you doing there?”  In the meantime Amanda stood clueless and just wanted him to open up his gift and read his card. After reading the lengthy and meaningful card, Matthew became emotional and stated “I can’t wait anymore, I just can’t!” Amanda was confused, until he went down on one knee and said, “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Before Amanda even saw the ring or allowed him to finish his statement she said “YES!”  It was a beautiful raw and organic moment as is our love.
